MC Earthmoving is committed to quality, accountability, and hard work. We take pride in every project, from minor tasks to large-scale operations, with attention to detail at every step.
We are focused on creating a safe and respectful workplace, offering rewarding careers and developing a workforce that takes ownership and leads by example.
MC Earthmoving was founded in 2010 as a joint venture between Rohan Coleman and John Plumridge, combining their decades of industry experience to build a trusted and reliable company.
Each has over 30 years in the industry, and they have fostered long-standing client relationships that have supported the company’s steady growth. Many of MC Earthmoving’s original clients remain partners today, a testament to the quality of work and commitment to excellence.
Beginning as a labourer for established civil contracting company T.W Maw & Sons, Rohan honed his skills by completing major road infrastructure projects for 10 years before going out on his own.
Commencing with the construction of golf courses across Australia and Overseas, an early career highlight was the construction of The Dukes Course, an 18-hole championship golf course in St. Andrews, Scotland, designed by renowned Golfer Peter Thomson and now known as one of the finest inland courses in Europe.
More recently, Rohan has proudly built up MC Earthmoving with the support of John Plumridge, taking on bulk earthwork contracts and major civil infrastructure and mining projects as a core focus. His attention to detail, work ethic, and experience have earned him a highly respected reputation among his clients, partners, and staff.
Having worked in the construction industry for more than half a century, John began his career as a chainman at the age of 17, working for his grandfather at Mecho Constructions.
John moved to the Mornington Peninsula in 1976 and worked for T.W. Maw and Sons, where he met Rohan. With this experience, John started his construction business in 1986, focusing mainly on subdivisions and local government roadworks.
Since then, John has been involved with many construction businesses, culminating in the acquisition of Maw Civil Pty Ltd. In 2010, Rohan and John combined their resources to establish MC Earthmoving and have together built it into what it is today.
